This page explains, in plain words, what Lankan Deals does with information about visitors. We keep it small: we do not run ads, we do not sell data and you do not need an account to use the site.
What we collect
- Visit statistics (only if you accept): we use Google Analytics to see which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are from, what device they use, how they found us and which links to business websites they click. This is grouped information about all visitors, not a profile of you.
- Searches: words you type in the search box are used only to show you results. We do not save them in our database.
- Server records: our hosting provider keeps basic technical logs (such as your IP address and the page requested) for security and to keep the site running.
Cookies and your choice
Google Analytics uses cookies. It stays switched off until you press Accept on the notice. If you press Decline, no analytics cookies are used. You can change your mind at any time:
The only other cookie is a sign-in cookie used by the site owner on the private admin area. It is not set for normal visitors.
Who else is involved
- Google provides Analytics and reads data under its own privacy policy.
- Vercel hosts the website and Neon stores the listings database.
- Business websites: many photos load straight from each business's own website, and links to them leave our site. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
Your rights
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw your analytics choice at any time. Because we collect very little, there is usually nothing tied to you personally, but we will always answer your request.
Changes
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
